hi, just sent off my application form for WEDA - are you going to be at the show in Bridgwater? I'll be there, complete with forum badge! Who else is going? I'm hoping the next round of lafora testing will be available there too...... subject to response at the Wirehair show this weekend.

out of interest - if any of you are members of the WHDC club .... has anyone from the club been in touch with you or sent you information about the current Lafora controlled testing programme?

Sorry guys, not aware of the clubs thing. What is your role when you sponsor a club?

Most clubs require new membership applications to be sponsored by existing members.

Join the appropriate club/clubs and you'll get newsletters/magazines, schedules of shows etc etc. I belong to WHDC and the Dachshund Club. I don't show though I have been along to watch twice, and I do enjoy reading the magazine

Thanks for the info SunsongIan. How can I ask someone to sponsor me? Do I need to know them personally? Or can I ask someone randomly to sponsor me? Do I need to pay some membership fee or something?

Thanks GillKey2. I would love to have the newsletters and magazines. I would also like to contribute my story with my Dakki.

If you don't know any existing Club members who can sponsor you, write to the Secretary and give a bit of background on who you are and what Dachs you have.  Most Clubs will be happy to accept you, given a bit of background.  Alternatively, go along to one of their events and introduce yourself.

If you want sponsoring for ECDA, DC, WHDC, Min DC or SDA then PM me and let's have a chat.

Hi

Just wanted to make you aware that the weblink you have for the scottish dachshund club is not the same as the one on the breed councils website. You have www.northerndachshund.co.uk under the Scottish Dachshund club and they have www.thescottishdachshundclub.com.

You don't appear to have the one they have listed so just thought I would mention it incase you wanted to add it as a link  Cheesy
